The Collateral Buyer is responsible for purchasing various goods to
support the Marketing team.
Key Responsibilities
Proactively identify and source high-quality POS, swag, and rack
materials that align with marketing objectives and brand
guidelines
Develop, disseminate, and manage the RFP/RFQ process, including
evaluating proposals, conducting supplier due diligence, and making
selection recommendations
Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to secure
the best possible value for the company
Collaborate with the 3PL warehouse to manage POS and swag inventory
levels, ensuring sufficient stock while minimizing storage costs.
Monitor item creation and inventory updates within NetSuite
Create, track, and manage purchase orders within our ERP system
(NetSuite), ensuring accuracy and timely processing
Maintain accurate records of shipments, track key metrics, and
provide regular reports to leadership on sourcing activities and
performance
Research and resolve vendor and order issues efficiently and
effectively
Collaborate with the Marketing, Sales, and other internal teams to
understand their needs, present new product ideas, and provide
regular updates on project status
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers,
while continuously seeking out new and innovative suppliers to
expand our network and optimize sourcing strategies
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Marketing,
or a related field
4 years of experience in sourcing goods and services, preferably in
a marketing or related field
Proven ability to manage the entire procurement lifecycle, from
RFP/RFQ development to contract negotiation and supplier
management
Demonstrated negotiation and communication skills, both written and
verbal
Ability to manage and clarify ambiguity as well as work in a
dynamic environment
Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute
to strategic supply chain and business initiatives
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with NetSuite or a similar ERP system
Experience working with 3PL warehouses
Knowledge of marketing materials and promotional products
